Happy one week birthday to my precious angels!!! We are so happy and thankful to have them here with us, and although it has been a bit stressful, we’ve cherished the past 7 days and will continue to cherish each and every one from here on out!!! So happy birthday babies with 3 million to grow on!!!
Today was a pretty tough day. Karsyn is still having some breathing trouble, and her heart rate is pretty elevated because of it. The doctors are still trying to figure out what’s going on with her. Hopefully her lungs will rebound in the next few days and she'll be able to be switched to CPAP. They are thinking there might be some kind of infection causing these problems. They seem to think the infection would be easily treated and would help her out. We’ll find out for sure after some 5:00pm tests today. Please pray that our little girls lungs pick up and that she’s able to relax and that her heart rate will slow down a bit, and that the doctors and nurses can pin point what might be going on.
Kaden had a pretty good day. They decided to switch him to CPAP this afternoon, but he wasn’t all that fired up about it so they had to go back to the ventilator. The nurses assured us this was normal and sometimes they just try a little too soon, so they’ll re-evaluate tomorrow and decide when to try again! He seems to be tolerating his feeds well which is great news!
One day at a time right?!?! Unfortunately no pictures today….we actually went at lunch and bought both kids a little stuffed animal b/c we were told we could add it to their crib. They’re adorable but daddy left the camera in the car so no pics….boooo! But we’ll forgive him!
Mommy and Daddy are pretty drained today! Think things are catching up to us so pray for the babies first but if you have some extra prayers, pray that we are able to relax and get some much needed rest!!
Okay I take it back! after I posted this I remembered that we did take a few pictures before Jeff left the camera in the car!! Sorry honey!
