One Little, Two Little, Three Little Indians.....

Go to the Aquarium!!!

What a busy day we had Monday! (I really LOVE having a week off at Thanksgiving!) Brady and I joined Cooper's mom (Miss Shannon), Julia's mom (Miss Carrie), and Ashley and Chloe for a trip to the aquarium in Galveston! The kids (and the moms) had a blast. Brady didn't really understand what the aquarium was all about, but he did have a good time staring at the bright colored fish!

we're ready to go in...bring on the fish!
Chloe, Julia, Brady, and Cooper

I've got my ticket...let's go!

what you can't see in the background is the cool tank of penguins...oh well, the kids look cute!

Brady was totally impressed with this tank can't you tell?!

This was Brady's favorite spot...look how mesmerized he is with the bright yellow fish!

Here's Brady STILL looking at the yellow fish while mommy smiles for the camera!

BIG SHARKS!
again - didn't really show up on the picture, but they're there I promise!

Our last stop was the shark cage - the aquarium was full of great photo ops!

After the trip to the aquarium, Carrie, Shannon and I were having waay too much fun pretending to be stay at home moms.....so..... with the help of some of Shannon's arts and crafts supplies we decided our kids needed fun thanksgiving vests and headbands made out of paper bags! Our kids will now be completely bored in Kindergarten during Thanksgiving crafts day! But nonetheless VERY worth the precious pictures we got of our 3 little Indians!!
Have you ever seen such a fierce group of Indians?

We put their names on the headbands just in case you can't figure out who's who!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Paranoid Mother

I try very hard to not be one of those paranoid first time moms that the doctors talk about when I leave the pediatrician office - for the 100th time! I've had to fight the urge several times, but have thus far managed to control myself. Well, this week little Brady came down with an AWFUL (well I thought it was awful!) cough and congestion. I was torn, but ultimately decided that maybe it would be worth the $15 copay to have the pediatrician tell me I'm crazy! So Brady had his first trip to the doctor where he had to sit in the sick kid area of the waiting room.

I'm happy to report that my intuition was working...Brady really was sick...okay wait, I'm not happy to report that he's sick, but I was proud of myself for correctly assessing the situation. Dr. Isenhower said if we'd waited much longer we could have ended up in the hospital . He has bronchialitis (have no idea how this is really spelled!) The good news is he's going to be fine....the bad news is we are now the proud owner of a breathing machine. We have to do breathing treatments twice a day. Despite all the congestion and the coughing, the little guy is still pretty happy. He gets a little confused when I put the mask on his face, and gets a little cross eyed trying to see what's covering his nose and mouth, but he doesn't pitch a fit!
Of course being the new mom that I am...I had to take pictures of his first "sick"trip to the doctor.

Waiting on Dr. Isenhower
Who needs toys in the waiting room when you have a window like this to look out! He was MESMERIZED!
bless his little heart....here's our first breathing treatment
here we are at home showing daddy how we use our big boy nebulizer
On to happier blog pictures! I forgot to post these last week, but we took Brady to church for the first time! He did great during the music in the beginning but when it was time for the sermon, Brady had a few "amens" to interject in inappropriate places, so he and mommy spent most of the time in the lobby!
Look how handsome he is in his first trip to church outfit!Ready to go learn about Jesus!

And this picture has absolutely nothing to do with anything, but I think it's stinkin' cute! Look at that belly!!

Daylight Savings Time

It is very clear to me now that whoever it was that invented Daylight Savings Time DID NOT have an infant! This has been crazy! Oh sure you get an extra hour of sleept -unless your child who normally gets up at 6:00 now gets up at 5:00 ! I did try to explain to Brady that it was was technically not time for him to wake up...he didn't seem to understand. So needless to say, the schedule we worked 2 1/2 months to get him to follow is now shot!
Brady started school this week!! He now goes to Miss Becky's everyday and is loving it! Miss Becky keeps 7 kids at her home, and Brady is loving watching the bigger kids run and around and play! Brady is making new friends, and we think he might even have a little girlfriend!
Miss Becky is WONDERFUL - Jeff and I feel very lucky to have her watching our little man.
Understand that I am completely aware that my son will one day hate me for this blog, but I couldn't resist!! I decided to take some black and whites to put on our mantle ( I guess it's time to remove the ode to Kim and Jeff's wedding we currently have in our living room!). I think some of them turned out waaaay cute so I had to share! FYI when Brady asks about this when he's a teenager I'm going to tell him it was Jeff's idea to post them!
Just in case you forget his name.....

Look at that handsome face

I don't know why he was tired, this was only picture 116!

See that little mischevious grin with that bottom in the air....he must get that from Jeff!

This is by far my favorite! Can't wait for his girlfriends to see this one!

Dont you just want to squeeze him!
