Under the Boardwalk.....

down by the sea!!
don't you just love it when I plant these annoying songs in your head....the one's you'll sing over and over in your head ALL day?? It's a wonder anyone still actually reads my blog....wait, does anyone still read my blog??
Last weekend, the Brewer's met the Simonds' and the Flores' down at the Kemah Boardwalk. The boys played in the water and THEN got to take their first train ride!! The mommy's rode the train with the boys and the Daddy's had a "coke" while waiting on us to ride by....we had to have someone to wave at from the train right???

He was quite brave right up until the first time the water shot up into his face!

Be careful Cooper...did you know the water shoots up out of the ground??

Brady wanted to be well hydrated for the train ride!

Trains are fun!

Hi Daddy's

We had a great time hanging out with friends and letting the boys play! We're so fortunate to have great friends that have kids Brady's age...it certainly makes the transition into parenthood a little easier!!

Tour de France

I know...I have some major catching up to do. We've been busy trying to cram everything we can into our last few weeks of summer! Here are a couple of note worthy events from the last week!
Daddy finally added the "baby" seat to the back of his bike! Brady's not completely fired up about the helmet Mommy makes him wear, but he LOVES riding with Daddy! How cute does he look all buckled in ready for a ride! Watch out Lance Armstrong!
Mommy's little cyclist! We have a permanent head tilt with the helmet! I guess that's what happens when you don't fit in the infant helmet and your mom has to buy 4t!!!!
YEA! Do it again Daddy!!!
My sister and I were tired of the heat and decided the indoor playground at Monkey n Around was a great idea! The kiddo's loved it, and the mommy's loved not sweating!!!
Here's the little monkey that's figured out how to climb up the slide!
Little monkey's on puppy dogs!
it's nice here on the swing huh Hannah?

Monkey n Around

That's right folks we went to the zoo again!! Brady and I joined Aunt Julie, Jacob and Hannah, Shannon, and Cooper at the zoo. Why was this trip so exciting??? We FINALLY got to see the monkeys!! Every time Brady and I have gone to the zoo we've some how missed the primate exhibit...but not this time! And what an awesome exhibit it was...it's nice and shaded - a great place to cool off on a 90 degree day!
We went less than a month ago, but today Brady was so much more attentive and really seemed to be interested in some of the animals. We hit the water park in the children's zoo again, and he actually crawled around and played in the water! It's so neat to watch him. I've been so blessed to have spent this summer at home with him. I am NOT looking forward to going back to work. I now realize what all I miss during the day when I'm at work. BUT, before I start crying I'll just remind myself to cherish every moment and move on to the zoo pics!!!
The seals...Hannah was really interested in them!

Hi Mr. Elephant! Jacob, Hannah, Cooper and Brady chit chatting with the mommy elephant!

Okay side bar! Brady and Hannah -these two kiddo's are too precious. They are so close in age and are going to be such good buddies as they get older. After our weekend at the beach Aunt Julie called one morning to tell me that Hannah was walking around the house with a picture of Brady in each had saying "Bwady Bwady". How cute she was looking for and missing her little buddy! So we went for a play date last week, and evidently I spend a lot of time "redirecting" my son b/c now Hannah walks around saying "no no Bwady stott" Brady lights up when he's around Hannah, and I think they have their own little language...probably the language they talk about their mothers in but whatever! I am so excited to watch these little munchkins interact as they get older!

Here Hannah, hold my hand and I'll show you the monkeys This one's for you Nana and Grandanny! Sweet innocent Angels!
Cooper be careful you don't want to fall off of this bench. Brady is such a good boy looking out for his friend!
Hannah loving the water park! She and Cooper were fearless!!!

wait on me Hannah

If I could just get my hand over this water....

THERE I got it!

Mr. Turtle it's not nice to splash in my face

Thanks guys for a fun day! Can't wait to do it again!

Morning Ritual

Jeff always told me he and Brady shared a banana in the mornings...but this morning I happened to witness it....soooo cute. Jeff sat down in the living room with his bagel and banana and immediately Brady scampered over to him as fast as his little legs could crawl. He seriously sat there staring up at Jeff like he was begging for food! And Daddy fed him his banana! Brady loves his daddy and their morning routine...and most importantly his Banana!!!
Where's my bite?

It's about time!

banana's are yummy

evidently a banana needs to be washed down with some of daddy's water too!

Brewer Reunion and the Beach

Uncle Jason, Aunt Melissa and the boys are staying at the beach with Grandma this week. Thursday, Aunt Janet and Uncle Jeff were kind enough to let us come down and stay at their beach house so we could enjoy a little cousin time! For some reason I have very few pictures, but I did find some cute ones of the cousins...I guess that's all that really matters huh?! We had a great time hanging out with the family and being entertained by the big boys. They have great imaginations and put on "shows" for us that night!!

Sunday we had a Brewer Reunion at our house...or so we've named it! Big families are wonderful but bring with it many different schedules. We've never quite been on the same schedule with Grandpa's side of the family during the holidays so we decided to have a "Christmas in July" reunion!! MaMa, Grandpa, Grandma Nan, Aunt Norma and Bob, Aunt Gina, Uncle Scot, Aunt Melissa, Uncle Jason, Kaitlyn, Allie, Natalie, Mack, William, Luke, and Zach all came over Sunday afternoon to hang out! Our house was FULL of activity, but we had a great time!! It is definitely going to be an annual get together. Becca, Steve and Cade we unable to come so hopefully next summer we'll have the whole gang!!
Look at those Brewer boys!!

I love love love this picture of Luke and Brady...wonder what they're thinking?!!?!?

Hanging out with MaMa before the gang arrives! The kids table...with Brady lurking in the shadows!!
MaMa and her great grandchildren...minus Cade. I think it's amazing that we have 7 of 8 looking at the camera! What a crew!

I'm a big boy now!

I swear it seems as if Brady learns something new...or tries something new every day! Some things are cute and fun....some things require a lot of "no, no Brady's"!! It's so fun that we've learned to walk while holding on to things....my kitchen chairs are never at the table any more, and it's not uncommon to find the high chair by the front door!! Our little angel is also starting to use a big boy plate and meal time. Yesterday was our first attempt....so far so good, it only went flying across the room once....that's good right?!?!?!?
Here's the little guy with his new plate!!
oooh, there's food in here too???

Brady has also learned how to take all the toy baskets off and climb onto the shelf to play

Mom, it's much more fun to play in herePeek A Boo

On a completely different note, in preparation for the big 1st birthday coming up Mommy made a plate for the new family tradition she's starting!! I've heard of other people doing this and I thought it was really fun. So our family has a new "birthday plate" and you only get to eat on this plate if it's your special day!! So, I went with some of my bible study girls to the painted potter and made a birthday plate! For some reason, no matter what I tried I couldn't get the picture turned right...so here it is sideways...there are a few "rookie" mess ups, but luckily in the picture you can't tell!!

NKOTB

New Kid on The Block!!
Christian Tyler Pillow is here!!
For those of you that don't know, our very good friends Jason and Ashley live 5 houses down from us. We feel very blessed to have such great friends so close. And now feel even more blessed to get to raise our children together! Brady is super fired up to have a buddy just down the street. I know in the next few years the tricycle path between our two houses will be worn out! Welcome to the "hood" baby Christian and congrats mom and dad! We're so happy for you and can't wait to share many fun memories in the years to come!!
Christian Tyler Pillow
So serious!
They meet for the first time!
Proud new Mommy!
He was sooooo tiny. It's hard to believe our little guy was ever this small.

Relaxing Beach Vacation!

The Brewer's celebrated the 4th on the beach with Grandanny, Nana, and the Cole's. Grandanny and Nana were nice enough to rent a beach house way down on the west end of Galveston. The whole gang packed up and headed down to relax on Thursday. We played on the beach, relaxed on the deck, swam in the pool, and had lots and lots of fun cousin time! We can't wait to go back!

Brady decked out in his beach shirt enjoying some cheerios!

You said we were suppose to relax right??

So this is the ocean huh??WOAH! The water disappears and then comes back again!

Do it again Daddy!
ahhhh, this is the life!

Could we get some sippy cups over here please?
