little of this….little of that

We haven’t done much of anything “picture worthy” the past few weeks, but I do have these of my little man!  He is learning and growing so much each day.  Jeff and laugh hysterically at him at least 4 times a day!  Some recent stories I want to be sure and remember:

After bath the other day we were in B’s room putting on his pj’s and getting ready for bed.  While getting the diaper ready, in true boy fashion my son was checking to make sure his man parts were still there!

“look mommy, my tt”  “Yes Brady that’s your tt”  “Mommy have a tt”  here we go….”no boys have tt’s but girls don’t.  Daddy and Brady have a tt but mommy doesn’t”  “girls no have tt’s?  Karsyn no have tt?”  “That’s right”  he thinks about it for a second and says while shaking his head as if to prompt my yes “but santa cwause has a tt?”  “Yes brady santa has a tt”  “ok” and that was that!! all was well with the world as long as santa had a tt!!! Gotta love little boys!!!!

On the way to a soccer game the other night out of the blue from the back seat I hear “mommy?”  “yes Brady”  “ I howd hannah’s hand today at stool today”   “ummm okay could you not do that again until you’re 21 please?”  After further review and questioning at school as to who exactly this Hannah girl was I find out she’s the 13 year old daughter of one of his teachers……..does that make this better or worse….I’m not sure!!!

Enough with the stories onto the pics!

I had a dr. appt this morning so I took 1/2 a day off.  since we had some time Brady and I decided we needed a breakfast date!!  complete with chocolate milk and donuts!

my little dancing queen!  at least the bracelet has soccer balls on itJanuary 031

I’m going to catch some flack for these I’m aware!  BUT, I’m having a girl!  Every girl HAS to have bows right!!  So I might have ordered a few bows to jump start Karsyn’s collection.  I mean really if she’s anything like my son she won’t have hair until she’s almost 2….we have to have some way to separate her from her brothers right?!?!?  Anyway,  some of the bows came in yesterday and Brady  decided to “check them out”!!  Please notice my husbands face in the background.  Definitely not happy, but choosing not to cross his moody/pregnant wife!  Great decision honey!!!!

Is this the way it goes mommy?January 022

so you like my new “do” daddy?January 037

and we’re done!!!January 039

isn’t Karsyn going to look precious?!?!?!?

They shall be called…..

It’s so funny to start picking out names for your children. The little things about a name that can turn you off….especially when you and your husband are both teachers!!! Thankfully Jeff and I have had a fairly easy time picking out names for all 3 of our kiddos. SO, with out further ado they are….

Karsyn Jane

and

Kaden James

We’re so excited number one that their initials are the same…well maybe I’m way excited and Jeff doesn’t really care that much!! AND we’re very excited about their middle names. It’s always been important to us (not sure why) that their middle names be family names. Scott is Jeff’s middle name, but this time we decided to take the great grandparent route!

Jane is my Grandmom’s (dad’s mom’s) name. A very special lady to me. She has so much spunk and class ( i know a weird combination…but she pulls it off!) she has been such a role model to me and I am ecstatic to have a daughter to name after her. And although Grandmom is still with us, she doesn’t always know and understand everything that is going on, I regret that Karsyn will never truly know her namesake, but I look forward to sharing many a crazy Grandmom stories with her!! And I’m certain there are several of you that read this blog that could share a story or two as well :)

James was my Pa’s (mom’s dad’s) name. Pa was an amazing man, father , grandfather, and husband. He taught me so much about life and most importantly marriage. He was an amazing example to me and I am so sad that my husband and my children will never have the chance to meet him. But I’m so proud to name my son after such an honorable man. I’m hoping that in having my grandfathers name he’ll somehow get his calm sweet nature as well – so basically I hope he’s more like his great grandfather and father than his mother!!! I have so many precious memories with Pa and Granny and look forward to sharing them all with all three of my kids! Hopefully the legacy they’ve left will shine through in my relationship with Jeff and with each of them and the valuable lesson’s Pa and Granny taught will be filtered to another generation!

So there you have it the twins have a name!!!

Twins

I figured it was about time for a twin update!  We had our big anatomy ultrasound yesterday!!  We are having a boy and a girl!!!  We are beyond excited!!  Brady has a playmate and we have our princess!!!!  Most of you know that at about 13 weeks we had an ultrasound where the Dr. told us that baby A was a girl and baby B wasn’t cooperating.  SO as we’re sitting there yesterday  the Dr. said “you want to know the sexes right?”  YES…..”okay baby A is a boy”    UMMMMM, you mean the one we thought was a girl is a boy.  Jeff and I exchanged a few  glances and had a conversation with our eyes that went something like this.

"oh my gosh, we’re going to have to tell  grandma and grandma nan that we’re not having a girl”

“you’re making the call” “ no you’re making the call”

The unspoken fight was thankfully put to rest when the Dr. said “and baby B is a girl”  PHEW!!!

And the genders of both were clearly visible on the screen this time!!  The dr. was in a bit of a rush and had twice the work to do with it being twins so we didn’t get great pictures to post.  We got one of our little princess, but none of baby boy so just to be fair I’m not going to post it!!

Everything is looking good.  They’re both measuring about 3 days ahead and were moving around a ton.  I’m starting to really feel them moving and aside from a little nausea (that is usually cured with the medication), and a rapidly growing belly I have nothing to complain about!!

We are so thankful for these two little beings and appreciate all the prayers and thoughts from our friends and family.  We’ll have the name reveal soon…….I’ve got to leave something out to make you keep coming back!!!

Ice Skating, Trains, and Trampolines

A couple of days ago we met the Dallas Brewer’s at an area mall for a little ice skating!  Aunt Melissa’s family is very good at ice skating and we’re glad they let the amateurs tag along!  I’m guessing they needed some entertainment!!!   Daddy had soccer practice, and needless to say this pregnant momma wasn’t putting on ice skates, so Uncle Jason and Aunt Melissa stepped in to make sure Brady had a great first experience on the ice!!!  Brady had a blast!
