Last weekend we made a quick trip to Rockwall. We left Friday at lunch and headed back to Houston L-A-T-E Saturday night. We made our mad dash so that we could be a part of Stephanie’s (my cousin) wedding shower. Please don’t get me started on how in the world Stephanie is old enough to be getting married…because I so remember the little 3 year old I used to dress up and pose for pictures! Now, you guys know that I’m not as much concerned about Stephanie being as grown up as she is as I am with the fact that, because she’s so grown up, I’m stinkin OLD! But I digress, back to our trip! It might have been short, but we were able to pack a lot in to our visit…..
WE…..
made funny faces to match our halloween shirt
posed in our coordinating ghost shirts…thanks Mrs. Amy!
we tried to add the boys to the picture and they wouldn’t cooperate….
we had a little girl talk
had some fun hug time
played in the hay maze at the pumpkin patch…
tried to take a group photo, but the sun was in our eyes….
so we moved, and tried again
and then things started falling apart…..
so we played in the hay some more….
and sweet Elizabeth posed for some pictures!
we tried a group shot with nana….
that darn sun got in our eyes again….
The girls went to the shower and the boys joined us after the shower down at Bryan and Juli’s house. Because not only was it Stephanie’s shower, but it was Granny’s 81st birthday!!!!
She’s how old??
The “bigs” had fun playing with Stephanie’s old doll house!
we ate a little dinner
put on a party hats!
helped Granny open presents….
took pictures with granny in our pj’s
and the kids got to meet some extended family we’ve never met before. I include this picture because I was reminded again this weekend of how far we’ve come in the last 19 months and how many prayers from all over helped us get there. This is Roxanne, she is my aunt’s sister-in-law. Of course our paths crossed quite regularly when we were younger and birthday parties and such, but I haven’t seen her in years. In talking to her at the party she told me she still reads our blog regularly and I could see in her eyes how excited she was to meet these babies she had prayed so fervently for. My eyes welled up as I again realized how loved these babies are and how awesome and faithful God is. So thank you Roxanne for praying for and loving my babies!
It was a quick but fun trip!! Can’t wait for the wedding in 1 month!!! Brady is the ring bearer and Hannah is the flower girl. Brady keeps asking when his wedding to hannah is….oh boy!
