Evidently I don't! For those of you who don't know, I had my galbladder removed Thursday evening. We just thought that I was only high maintenance during pregnancy!
I started having stomach and back pain last Friday, and had another episode on Monday night. And let me tell you guys, when I say episode, I mean I've never felt pain like this before...and let's remember that I just gave birth!! Anyway, after Monday night I started kinda asking around and after talking to our trainer and our school nurse I had just about convinced myself that I had kidney stones...and knowing that there wasn't too much you could do for kidney stones I wasn't that worried about it. That is until Wednesday night rolled around and I started having more stomach pain around 9:00pm. So off to the ER we went. We got there about 10:00 pm and finally got back to see someone about 1:00am. You've gotta love the efficiency of Emergency Rooms!
After blood work, urine tests and all that fun stuff they finally decided to do a CT scan. The doctors were pretty convinced that I had kidney stones and were surprised to report to me that it was actually gal stones and that my galbladder was very infected and needed to come out. So, I was admitted into the hospital, and had surgery about 6:00 Thursday night. Everything went well, and I'm back home. I'm pretty sore and moving around fairly slow, but I'm home!
We definitely need to say a big thank you to Grandma for coming and hanging out with Brady on Thursday so Daddy could be at the hospital with Mommy. And to Nana for coming to take care of mommy at the hospital and for hanging out at home with us this weekend while I recover. Brady's loving all the attention he's getting, although he's a little confused why mommy's not holding him very much. Needless to say Mommy's pretty upset that she's not holding him as much either!!
ALSO, I need to say I'm sorry to Ashley Brewer, the mommy to be that I was suppose to throw a shower for today in Kaufman!! Obviously I didn't make it.....some people will do anything to miss a shower huh??!?!? I'm so thankful to my grandmother and Ashley's mother, sister and sister in law who are picking up the pieces and giving Ashley and baby Hudson a great shower!! Sorry guys!!
Thanks for all your prayers, phone calls, emails and etc. We've definitely appreciated all the support.
And because I know you guys want to see pictures and are tired of hearing about me...here's a few pics of the little guy this week - pre mommy's surgery!!!
I'm so tall!
Such a happy boy playing with his toys!

We also introduced a sippy cup this week. Look how good he's doing! He did pick it right up and put it right in his mouth, but please don't be fooled...he's much more into chewing on the nipple than actually drinking out of the cup..oh well, baby steps right?!?!?
