Brewer meet Brewer

FINALLY!!    So, for those of you unaware, here’s the story!

My very best friend from high school, Ashley I both happened to marry men with the last name Brewer.  What a coincidence!  Anyway, Ashley had never met Brady and I had never met sweet Hudson.  I know I know, Brady’s two and Hudson’s almost 2….what in the world were we thinking.  Well not having met each others children was not without a lack of trying!  We have made several attempts over the past 2 years to get together.  But something always happens….like emergency gal bladder surgery, a death in the family…something big.  We’ve never been able to make it work….until now!

Jeff had a soccer clinic in San Antonio last weekend and Brady and I decided to tag along.  While daddy was in his classes Friday, Brady and I met Ashley, Hudson, and  baby Ellie in Ashley’s belly at a chik fil a to play for a while.  It was so fun to finally meet Hudson, to visit with Ashley, and to see our son’s play together!  Thanks again Brewer’s for meeting up with us!!  We had a blast!

Today was picture day at Brady’s school.  Look how stinkin cute my little man looked for his pictures!  Well, let me rephrase…look how cute he looked when he left the house for his pictures….who knows what he looked like by the time pictures were actually taken!!!!

weekend trip

Last weekend we decided to pack up and head down to the beach for a relaxing weekend.  It was a perfect  weekend to go!  It’s not too cold on the beach yet and there weren’t many other people around!  We played on the beach, got to visit with Cousin Sofia, and Brady got to ride the ferry for the first time!!  The “big boat” was a big hit!!

First Pictures

Not much to look at, but here are a few pictures of our little nuggets!!  These were taken on Wednesday.  Baby A had a heart rate  of 181 and Baby B a heart rate of 173.  The Dr said they looked perfect and were measuring right on target!  Which is refreshing considering their big brother always measure a few weeks ahead!!!

Like Father Like Son

Brady and I made cookies Saturday morning, and as is tradition Brady got to lick the beaters!  I know, I know raw eggs blah blah blah!  Brady decided to take the beater to daddy to – I would like to think share with him – but in all actuality I think it was probably to gloat!  But after a little smooth talking from Daddy Brady ended up sharing…such a good boy!!!

In other news…aka….twin news (this is for you JB!!)

All I have to say is my husband is wonderful!!  I haven’t had the energy to do anything other than lay on the couch, and he’s handled it like a champ!!!   I have been very, very tired, and nauseous, but the “sick” times seem to be pretty isolated (with a few exceptions) to the morning time.  I am surprisingly not NEARLY as sick as I was with Brady….go figure!!  BUT, no complaints here!!  We’re so thankful to have these two little nuggets that I”ll gladly take the nausea and tiredness!!!  I have pictures that, at some point (if I ever get off the couch), I will upload for you guys.  Not much to look at yet, but we think they’re beautiful!!!!!

Randomness

Brady has been sick this week, we’ve made several trips to the doctor, done breathing treatments, chest xrays, and lots of other fun stuff!!  I’m happy to report that he seems to be on the mend!  Still no real consensus on what he actually had, but we know it wasn’t flu…maybe mild pneumonia…who knows!!  Obviously we haven’t really done anything picture worthy the last few days, so I thought I’d throw in a few random pics from the last few weeks!!  Happy Friday!

Halloween

We had a great Halloween!  We joined Cooper and Trenton (and their mommies) at Trenton’s school carnival, and then went to lunch at Chik fil a.  The boys had a great time as usual!!

later that night we headed out to go trick or treating and to a party at the Harmons house.  We had a great time!!  Thankfully after weeks of screaming “I don’t YIKE it” Brady decided he would wear his firemans costume!!!
