Happy Homecoming!

It's homecoming week at Mommy and Daddy's school. So we decided to show our school spirit this week. Mommy and Daddy used to be VERY involved in extracurricular activities....but about a year and a half ago their involvement slowed down a little bit....not sure why....but it's been fun getting back in the swing of things! Because Daddy shows a new picture of Brady to his class everyday, Brady is quite the celebrity at Brook! It's fun to see the kids come up to meet him and play with him!
Tuesday night we went to the volleyball game to watch Miss Keely (our awesome babysitter - who is a senior and is going to graduate and when she does Mommy is going to cry) and some of our other fun volleyball girls play. Tonight we went to the parade! Brook really does a great job and has a fun parade every year for the community. Brady had a great time playing with Trenton and watching the fire truck, the band, and of course the cheerleaders! I know what you're thinking....what fun week...but just wait it gets better. Friday there is a carnival at school and Friday night is the big game!!
Brady at the volleyball game tipping his hat to the girls...or throwing it on the ground...whatever! I wish I had a picture of him dancing to the warm-up music with some of Daddy's students...he put on quite the show, but mommy was too busy laughing to take pictures!

Parade Time!

We had our picnic dinner and are waiting for the floats! Trenton and his DaddyBrady and his Daddy! Of course Brady's waving at the parade!

Dad...what's this thing beside me and why is she smiling like that?!?!?!?

The volleyball girls! Miss Keely is #14...the one on the left...not the fireman, the girl waving!

Pumpkin Playdate!

Cooper invited Brady over Saturday to paint pumpkins! Cooper's mom is very brave....I'm not sure Brady's mommy would want paint covered one year olds in her house!! But we had a GREAT time. We painted, played, and then the mommy's had some fun making pumpkin hats!!! One day our kids will be able to do the arts and crafts projects on their own...and we'll be very sad!!! The mom's like doing the projects!!! Our poor boys!
We had a great time guys...thanks for hosting Cooper! We'll have a less messy play date at our house very soon!

Cooper and Brady ready to paint!

Brady missed the fact that he was suppose to use the brush in his hand!

Paint pumpkins, paint your stomach...all the same thing right??

This is what happens when you paint yourself instead of the pumpkin!

Mrs. Shannon bought the boys matching pumpkin shirts! How cute are they?

It's okay Trenton...surely they won't keep making us all match forever!
On Guard!

The Hats!

You have NO idea how hard it was to get 3 boys in 3 hats to look at the camera!Mommy's little punkin!

Don't be jealous...my mom can make you a pumpkin hat too!

Pumpkins...take 2

We tried the pumpkin patch again....still not much luck. Maybe next year! The pictures didn't turn out great, but Brady had a blast this time running around patting the pumpkins and calling them dogs.
Yes Dogs....we were sooo excited a few weeks ago when Brady pointed to Dudley and Abby (our labs) and said DOOOG. Our son is BRILLIANT! But alas, pumpkins are now dogs, the couch is a dog, daddy is a dog, the random lady in the grocery store is a DOOG...it's great fun!

I HATE POSING FOR PICTURES

DOOGsmiles anyone?

The Brewer's pumpkin....check out his cool Halloween shirt! Marilea I thought about you when I bought it!!!

Totally unrelated.....we bought Brady a cozy coupe fire truck...he has been very busy climbing in and out and talking on his cb radio!!!

We're Back!

Where have we been? The last few weeks have been rough. Jeff's step father, aka Grandpa Ron, passed away suddenly Monday before last. So, needless to say we've been busy, sad, and stressed. We love Grandpa Ron and will miss him dearly. A big thank you to all of our friends and family that have been praying and helping us with babysitting, dinners and anything we needed. We're so fortunate to have such a strong support group!
Things are beginning to get back to normal. We've had a busy week I'll hit some of the highlights!

Brady is finally getting hair so we've been trying out a new do!

Mom, why did Uncle Jason call me Brady Idol?

Try to ignore the puzzle piece in his mouth...aren't the spikes cute?!?!?!

Brady helped daddy wash the cars! He was a huge help, can you tell???

why would I want to put the water in the bucket daddy? It's much more fun out here!

Pumpkin Patch - Take 1

Julie and I took the kids to the pumpkin patch Saturday for the first time this year. I emphasize first time and take 1 b/c it wasn't what I would consider a success. I got a few pics of Brady with the pumpkins, but got NONE of the kids together. Brady decided the big crane across the street doing debris cleanup (gotta love the ike aftermath!) was VERY scary! He wouldn't let me put him down with out big crocodile tears. Oh well, we'll try another pumpkin patch in an area with less destruction I guess!
A white pumpkin...didn't even know they had white pumpkins!

This is about the time he began to notice the crane and became a little "concerned"For Fun!!!

Last year at the pumpkin patchThis year at the pumpkin patch...what a difference a year makes
Before the pumpkin patch we made a quick trip to Target. To secure our coordinating outfits of course...you know the coordinating outfits we didn't need b/c we took NO good cousin pictures! I digress...each kid got to pick a toy at target...aunts are suppose to buy random gifts right?!?! Look at Miss Priss all decked out. I see lots of glittery princess outfits in her future! She wears that feather boa like a pro!

You might be a redneck if....

you strip down to your diaper and play in the sprinkler...in the FRONT yard! Yep, the Brewer's are pretty classy people! If you were to stop by Monday afternoon, you would have found Jeff and I hanging out in the front yard as our son ran around in the water sprinkler. What can you do? He was having a blast! Surely our neighbors just thought it was cute right? And I like how I'm pretending that it's only redneck b/c it was in the front yard, not b/c my child was half naked and in the water sprinkler...nope, just because it was in front of the house!
You mean I can run through that?

hmmm, this is kinda fun!Look at me mom!
No need for a bath tonight, I'm just going to rinse off here!

Houston...we have a toddler

my how things change when your child begins to walk everywhere! We have to "baby" proof things we didn't even know we had! We have also entered the "it looks like my parents beat me" stage. Last weekend in a 2 hour time frame, Brady fell and busted his lip, skinned his nose, skinned his chin, scraped his forehead, and had a knot on the side of his head. AWESOME! Parents of the year! Here's a picture of our little slugger with his busted lip, nose and chin!

no big deal mom...all in a days work!
Brady's been very busy since he's learned how to walk! What is a day in the life of a toddler like you ask? Well, here are a couple of things you might do....

grab a hot dog for lunch
a bottle of water to go with it...
everything tastes better with ranch right?
you might pull all the baggies out of the pantry while mommy isn't watching
have a picnic on your deck....ahh the life!!

We had Grandma over to celebrate her birthday last Sunday. As you can tell from the pictures above, Brady was very busy destroying the kitchen while mommy was trying to cook. So, in an attempt to salvage the few things left in the refrigerator, Brady got to help mommy ice Grandma's birthday cake!

ummm, this doesn't look very good mom

a little of this icing should do the tricksee...it looks better huh?

Is there something on my face?

As you can see it's been a busy week for us! And can I just call attention to my refrigerator.....that's one good thing Ike brought us! A completely cleaned out, bleached from top to bottom, needs to be restocked refrigerator! It's amazing how much stuff you have to replace in the fridge when you're powerless for 12 days!!! BUT, it's clean!
