Little Miss Karsyn had another rough day. Poor little girl can’t seem to catch a break! The infection I mentioned yesterday proved to be a bigger deal than we originally thought. The took some more spinal fluid from her head this morning and it too tested positive for infection so they decided it wasn’t a false positive afterall. So, the decision was made to take out her reservoir as it was the site for the infection. Yep…another surgery! Yep, intubated again! But she did great! The ventilator was still in when we left, but as soon as she wakes up a little more they hope to get her back on cannula. The good news is they caught the infection extremely early, and therefore started the antibiotics early. Hopefully Karsyn will be able to rebound quickly from this little set back. An infection is never good news so please keep those prayers coming. We know our little princess will keep on fighting just as she always has!
