9 months

I know, I know….they’re closer to 10 months now than they are 9 months!!  Bear with me!  The K’s are doing great and we’re looking forward to celebrating their first Christmas this year!!  We had their 9 month check – ups and Dr. Isenhower decided they didn’t need to come back until their 12 month check up.  Very bitter sweet.  Obviously I’m super excited that there’s no need to keep watching them closely…but understand we’ve seen Dr. Isenhower almost weekly since March (daily when they were in the hospital)…we’re going to miss her!!!

Kaden at 9 months

Kaden is officially sitting up!! Mommy is a little crazy and still puts the boppy behind him just in case he topples over, but he is definitely sitting up!!!  He is eating 3 meals a day, and we’ve started doing meats at dinner!  This boy definitely loves his food and is holding on strong to his nickname of tubby!!!  He jabbers constantly, but has yet to start with any of the consonant sounds (dadadad, babababa).  He is very alert and loves to have people pay attention to him!  He is actually becoming a little easier to entertain…meaning we don’t have to hold him quite as much as we used to!  He L-O-V-E-S playing in his exersaucer (thanks aunt julie), his busy box (thanks aunt melissa), and still loves playing on the floor with his sister!  Unfortunately he still wakes up quite a bit at night…..and his morning usually begins by 4:30.

26 3/4 inches long

Kaden is finally on the charts for both height and weight!!!  BIG accomplishment!

Karsyn at 9 months

Karsyn is continuing to improve every day!  Her vision seems to be getting better and she is focusing much more intently.  She is gaining strength in her left arm and is giggling all the time!! She is still babbling and say dadadada on a regular basis.  We’ve been working on mamama but don’t seem to be making any progress!  Sister has really progressed with her eating this month.  She is eating 3 “meals” a day….fruit and oatmeal for breakfast, veggie for lunch, and veggie and yogurt for dinner. She has made such a drastic improvement in being able to take the food off the spoon and keep it in her mouth!  We’re so proud!!!  Karsyn got tubes in her ears this month and handled it like a champ.  We think this helped her hearing and balance a ton…although I’ve now noticed that she seems to have selective hearing!!!  She is pretty good at tuning things out….when she wants to!!  We love watching this little baby girl grow and improve and are so amazed and thankful at all God’s doing in her.

not on the charts yet for a 9 month old, but it’s steady growth!   We’ll take it!

and just for fun….both babies are EXTREMELY messy eaters.  Our high chairs are disgusting and require a power washer most days!
