Tough Chick

I saw this onesie a couple of weeks ago and knew Karsyn HAD to have it!!  If she’s anything she’s definitely a tough chick!!  Jeff and I are amazed daily with all that she can do and all she has overcome.  We know her battle will be a tough one but if anyone can overcome these obstacles our tough little chick can!!!!July 9 031

The kids are doing great.  ECI, which is the organization that comes out to our house to evaluate the kiddo’s and recommend a course of therapy for them, has been coming out for Kaden for the last several weeks.  He is doing very well and is even performing ahead of his adjusted age….2 months in most area’s where his adjusted age at the time of evaluation was birth.  His main issue right now is his vision, which was to be expected because of ROP and his prematurity.  But they gave us activities to do with him and we can already tell a differenced.  They will hopefully come out to do Karsyn’s evaluation in the next week.  We’re anxious to get her started in some therapy!  We have doctor appointments usually 2 days a week so it’s really not that bad.

The rest of the time this is what you will find at the Brewer house these days………

I found your blog through Amanda Haygood's blog. And I want you to know that my families story is a "copy & paste" to your families. My twin, niece and nephew, were born at 24 weeks gestation at Memorial Herman (downtown Houston) 1lb 11oz and 1lb 7oz/. Tiny little things. They are healthy and haven't missed a beat and we will be celebrating their 8th birthday on August 19th. We call them our "Miracle Babies"! We'd love to share our story with you. You can contact either myself at
