sleep deprived and loving it!

Yes, we are a little sleep deprived around the brewer house, but we’re loving every minute of it!!  We’re adjusting well to having our little man at home.  Brady is really doing great.  He loves to hold Kaden and show him his toys and has even decided this weekend that he wants to show him how big boys tt on the potty!  (Keep your fingers crossed  day 4 in big boy “unnerwears”)

We’ve been busy figuring out the little mans schedule and going back and forth to see Karsyn.  Kaden is eating 2 1/2 ounces every 3 hours.  He’s still having some reflux issues, but we found an incline sleep positioner that’s helped a ton.  Because the oxygen tanks are huge they stay in the living room…..so we sleep in the living room now too!! At least one of us does!!  Kaden took his first trip today to the hospital to visit Karsyn with mommy and Granny.  It was successful!  It took a while to get everything packed and loaded, and even longer to get it unpacked once we got home, but we made it!  Kaden had an eye appointment at 12:30….unfortunately Dr. Stenkuller had to do a surgery so we were there for 2 hours…..the batter on the pulse oximeter might have died in the process, but not to worry nothing a quick charge can’t fix!!! 

Karsyn is doing great!  Once again we’ve taken a wild ride on the NICU rollercoaster.  Over the course of the weekend we’ve gone from having surgery on tuesday to put in a shunt to not having surgery on tuesday, to having surgery on tuesday to put in a reservoir to finally NOT needing the surgery at this time!!  It seemed like every time we talked to someone the story was different!   A little frustrating but we’re definitely glad she doesn’t seem to need the surgery at this time!  SO we’re hoping little sister can join us at home sometime in the near future….possibly this week….we’ll keep you posted!!!

I’ll stop my lack of sleep rambling and give you a few pictures from our weekend!!

And just to put everything into perspective once again.  Kaden is wearing newborn diapers right now…only because I have some….he’s actually big enough for size 1….however I thought I’d put his first diaper up against his new born.
