on the go

I feel like we haven’t stopped for more than 5 minutes in the past week!!  Between Kaden’s doctor visits, visiting Karsyn, and daddy finishing up the school year, we have been B-U-S-Y!!

Kaden had an eye appointment and a visit with our pediatrician.  He’s doing great!  He weights 7lbs 6 oz….obviously home life agrees with him!!!  We will continue to have weekly checks with our pediatrician for a while just to make sure he’s gaining weight and etc.  We seem to be getting into a little bit of a routine and he is sleeping better in between bottles at night…now mind you the bottles are every 2 1/2 hours, but hey we’ll take it!!!! 

Little Karsyn is doing great!!  Bless her little heart I’ve never seen anyone live up to the old saying “takes a licking and keeps on ticking”  more than this little one does.  They are keeping a close eye on her reservoir and tapping it everyday to keep the fluid level down to prevent the infection she had last time.  But other than that she’s GREAT!  And as soon as neuro gives the go ahead she’s free to go!  Now, that will still be a while, but we’re so happy that she’s doing so well with everything else.  One of our primary nurses from level III stopped by to visit yesterday.  She reads the blog and when she saw Karsyn she her reaction made me realize I’d neglected to mention a little fact on the blog!  Karsyn is actually OFF OXYGEN!!!  I’m not sure how that slipped through the cracks….but we’re so stinking proud of her.  Every once in a while she uses her oxygen during her feeds, but other than that she’s great and been that way for over a week!!  God is amazing!!

And yes my 2 year old has an LSU tiger tatoo on his leg….you send him to work with his daddy he turns his head for a minute and the crazy lady in purple and yellow brands  him!!  Thanks Gretchen!!!
