today Jeff and I got married!!!  WOW, what a difference 4 years makes!!!   I am so thankful God chose Jeff for me.  I cannot imagine going through life without him beside me.  I love you Jeff and am looking forward to the next 100 years!!!  What do you do for your anniversary when you have a 3 year old, a 3 month old at home and a 3 month old in the hospital??  Well, one of you goes to the hospital for the day, the other stays home with Kaden, you have a romantic dinner of steak and shrimp (hey we tried) while one of you fights with the 3 year old and the other runs back and forth to check on the baby…..then of course one of you sleeps in the bed and the other in the living room on the couch with said 3 month old!!!  Pretty sure this isn’t how we pictured it 4 years ago, but we wouldn’t trade it for the world!!

On the baby front…..little miss Karsyn is doing great.  Neuro is still coming by daily and tapping her reservoir to get out some of the excess fluid.  They’re still taking the aggressive approach to opefully avoid the infection this time.  Dr. Douser is watching her actual clot to see if it’s dissolving.  Once it’s dissolved a little more she can come home.  They’ll do another ultrasound on Wednesday to take another look at the clot and then make a “plan” after that….hopefully!  We’re so ready to have sister home with us….it’s so frustrating to know that she’s completely ready and we’re just waiting on neuro…but I’d rather them be completely sure she’s okay than have to be readmitted in a few weeks!

Kaden is doing well.  We had a little “issue” yesterday.  I noticed that he was retracting when he was breathing…which in most cases indicates respiratory distress.  Of course I freaked out, but luckily we had a check up appointment with our pediatrician anyway.  They were a little concerned and sent us to TCH to have chest xrays done.  The xrays came out perfect and now we’re thinking it might be more of a reflux issue.  He was up to 3 ounces every 3 hours so we’ve backed off to 2.5 ounces every 2 -  2 1/2 hours to monitor the amount of fluid he’s taking at one time.  He’s also taking a breathing treatment every 6 hours that’s clearing up some of his congestion.  Next week he will go to TCH to have a swallow test done to see how bad his reflux is.  They’re concerned that he is refluxing so much that some might find it’s way to his lungs which wouldn’t be a good thing!  So….we’re just hanging out until next week to see which direction we need to go with his reflux.  Poor little pumpkin!  But on a lighter note he weighed 7 lbs 12 ounces!!  He gained 6 ounces in less than a week!

Brady is doing good and has his last day of “school” tomorrow!  Summer officially begins for him.  And yes, summer should have officially begun for him last Friday, but daddy and I decided we needed one more week to get things situated with him still in school!!! But, let the fun begin!!!  Say your prayers please!!

On another prayer request note….  We are beginning our search for a nanny for the twins for next year.  Please pray that we find a perfect match and that we are at peace with our decision…..and maybe that the nanny wants to do it for free!  Hey it can’t hurt to ask right?!?!?

Okay, hungry baby….pictures next time I promise!!!
