Karsyn had a successful shunt revision today! We got to the hospital about 6:00 am, and after one little scare where they tried to tell me they weren’t going to take my baby (that hadn’t eaten anything) back for surgery until 10:45, they took her back at 7:30! Dr. Dauser, as usual, took great care of my precious cargo and she came through surgery like a champ. He said her shunt was completely blocked and that we were fortunate to have caught this before it became a true emergency and caused her a lot of pain. I’ve never been so thankful for a stomach bug (and a mommy that likes to overreact) in my life!!!
We are finally all settled in our room after a lengthy stay in recovery because the neuro floor was a little crowded! As of right now it looks as if we’ll be discharged late tomorrow morning!
Thank you so much for once again covering our little girl in prayers. God is so good and so faithful and has given us so many amazing friends, family members, some we haven’t even met to be our prayer warriors. We are forever grateful!
And just for fun a few pictures of our amazing, strong little princess!
