Last Thursday, Jeff, Brady and I headed to San Antonio to go to SeaWorld!! Nana and Granny came in to take care of the babies and mommy bravely left her babies for the first time!! It was nice to have some uninterrupted time to spend with Brady.
We drove in Thursday afternoon, checked in to our hotel – which Brady referred and still refers to as our “new home”, and then went to check out the river walk! We had a very unimpressive, over priced dinner on the river walk and then took the riverboat cruise!! Brady loved riding on the boat!!
We spent ALL day Friday at SeaWorld! We saw a few shows, checked out the new Bay of Play, and rode a few rides and fed the dolphins. We were worn out! We grabbed dinner at mommy’s favorite, Alamo Cafe, and headed back to the hotel to crash!
Saturday we hit SeaWorld again! We saw one show that morning , rode a couple of rides for the second (and third) time, and spent the rest of the day playing in the water park. It was evidently a popular weekend to be at SeaWorld. We were able to meet up with the Flores family a couple of times, and we even got to see the Austin Brewer’s!! I was so excited Saturday morning when Ashley’s facebook status was “SeaWorld bound”! It was a brief visit, but so great to see them!!!
Saturday night we got dressed and let Daddy show us around the part of town he grew up in! We ate at a Hamburger joint he used to frequent, drove by his childhood house, and even played a little soccer on the fields he “lived” on as a boy! It was a blast and Brady loved seeing the places and talking about when daddy was his age!
We headed back to Houston early Sunday morning….a little earlier than expected, but more on that later!! On to the pictures!!
SEAWORLD!
first ride of the day….the shamu rollercoaster!
riding abby cadabby’s ride with mommy
and this is where Brady spent most of his day….don’t feel sorry for Jeff he could have told him no at any time!!!
You could text your child’s (or your) name in and a SeaBuddie would say hi to them on the big screen! Brady thought it was cool to see his name!
a little cotton candy and animal cracker break while we waited for Azul
they had a “clown” (as brady called him) out to entertain the crowd while we waited for the show…Brady thought he was hysterical!
Brady wanted to take his picture with one of the divers…I love the look on his face!
the sea lion and otter show….one of the cutest show’s I’ve ever seen!
everyone needs a glass with shamu jumping out of it right?
My pictures aren’t great, but this is Brady feeding the dolphins
are you hungry?
nothing better than ice cream on a hot day!
this is the ride my child insisted on riding several times! Yes it goes straight down into a big pool of water, Yes you get soaked and YES he loved it and asked to ride it over and over!!
ready for day 2
in our hotel getting ready to hit san antonio daddy style!!
We had a BLAST and can’t wait to take Karsyn and Kaden back with us! Maybe when it cools down a bit!!
A HUGE thank you to Nana and Granny for keeping the K’s!! I’m pretty sure we owe them more than a thank you considering we had to rush back Sunday because Karsyn had 102 fever and was vomiting. Never fun with a little one, but definitely NOT fun for a baby with a shunt. We had to rush her to the TCH ER to have her shunt checked via ct scan and x-rays. The ct scan came back a little troubling so they ended up keeping us overnight to observe her. The consensus….probably just a stomach bug, but we will be going back in 3 weeks for another CT scan so her neurosurgeon can take another look to make sure things are okay (please keep that in your prayers). So our peaceful, relaxing vacation ended on a dramatic note! Yes that was our first time to leave the twins…and no I’m not leaving them again anytime soon! My blood pressure can’t handle it!!
